We reveal the hidden secrets of paint brushes. We take a look inside to see what seperates the good from the bad and the ugly. In this video we look at "the plug" - a wedge (or two) inserted at the base of the bristles. The plug creates a "well" inside the bristles, allowing the paint brush to hold more paint (less dipping) and to spread that paint more evenly and consistently (better finish).

The quality of the epoxy used to secure the bristles determines the amount of bristle loss that occurs when you paint. A good quality paint brush uses high quality components at every stage of the manufactuting process.
